Raised in Colorado, I discovered a love for the outdoors at an early age. From an early age I became a voracious reader, which fostered a passion for writing and communication. Growing up in an age of rapid technological advancement, I found fascination in continually learning new tools and skills that promote better storytelling.
My early career crossed a wide spectrum of industries. I worked in food service, retail and insurance before deciding to take control of my career and launching an underground freeskiing magazine. The skills and experience developed in those days put me on the path I wanted to follow - communications. I eventually moved to Montana to join the staff of a small town newspaper. I spent nearly a decade there writing, designing and editing.
From there I have continued exploring communications avenues, including nonprofit communications, political advocacy and all kinds of digital communications. I also expanded my technological skillset into website design and management.
Outside of my career, I still love being in the outdoors. There's nothing better for the soul than getting away from all of the hustle and bustle and communing with nature. Other hobbies include hiking, cycling, photography, snow skiing, writing and spending time with my wife and son.
